Martial Arts

Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu of Fresno is one of the first schools in the world to be personally certified by Three Time Ultimate Fighting Champion Royce Gracie for instruction in the art his family made famous.  Gracie Jiu-Jitsu turned the martial arts world upside down by showing when, flat on his back with his opponent on top of him, a skilled jiu-jitsu practitioner was still in an extremely favorable position.  Having an instant and an effective reaction to an attack makes all the difference in the outcome, and the Gracie self defense system places much emphasis on the element of surprise.

As one of Royce's top students in California, Tosh Cook is the head instructor of Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu of Fresno.  Tosh has been one of Royce's sparring partners while training for his fights against Hughes, Sakaraba, and Yoshida, and was inspired to follow his mentor’s footsteps into the cage.  He has compiled a 9-3 professional fight record, and has competed in numerous Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, and Kickboxing competitions.
