Curriculum
Home
Welcome to the Fresno City College Curriculum Committee home page. This website is designed to offer you the information and contacts you need in order to successfully develop and/or revise curriculum.
The Curriculum Committee is a committee of the
Fresno City College
Academic Senate. The Senate provides us with an
Operating Agreement
and we
work with our own Bylaws.
The first step is to find out who your division representative is; that person can offer you guidance as you navigate the
curriculum process.
Click on the link to left titled Representatives.
Next, you'll want to have access to an important resource for developing curriculum, the Curriculum Mini-Manual. This manual has information and directions for developing new courses, degree programs and certificates, for revising courses, degree programs and certificates, for making administrative changes, and for developing
special studies courses. It has detailed directions for filling out all forms. Ask your representative to see the binder or download
portions of the manual here (Overview,
Summary of Process,
Guidelines,
Prerequisite Approval
Process, Content
Review Process, Levels
of Scrutiny). In addition to campus resources, the
Links to Resources page provides access to information for developing
curriculum.
You may want to review the
Board Approved
Curriculum before revising your course. After the Office of
Instruction receives your curriculum proposal, you can find out when it will be
presented on Agendas and Minutes or in
Pending Curriculum. All files are in Microsoft Word
and/or PDF formats.
Make a note of the deadlines for submitting business to the
Curriculum Committee for the current semester. Click on the link to the left
titled Deadlines and Calendar.
Finally, get copies of all the forms you need. Click on Forms.
