Welcome to Fresno City College's Teaching and Learning Center-Online
The
mission of Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) is to maintain and improve
teaching excellence and to promote a creative and stimulating learning
environment for faculty and staff so that they can develop the skills required
to make use of developing technologies.
The TLC at Fresno City
College is the result of a three-year dream. This facility was made
possible with financing from the general fund, private donors, as well as state
and federal grants. The state-of-the-art TLC became fully functional in Fall
2003.
The primary focus of the TLC is to support the professional
development of staff and to assist faculty in their efforts to enhance
instructional programs. The TLC provides instructional development activities,
instructional materials, multi-media equipment, and consultation in course
development and integrating the use of instructional technology. This innovative center is devoted to the professional development of faculty and
staff and is intended to be a meeting room to facilitate discussion of
pedagogical and curriculum content issues.
